Mary Ann HENMAN married John BUTTRUM in 1850. Their life was marred by the tragic death of three of their sons in a boating accident in 1879 (see News Reports). We know from family photographs (1925) that their son George BUTTRUM maintained contact with his great-niece Edith COOPER née CAMPBELL. The news item of George's funeral (1937) also reports that Edith's husband Henry and daughter (Betty?) were present at the ceremony.
