Dear Dr. Watson,

I have pleasure in sending you the following resolution passed by the General Com. yesterday:

520. — "That we receive the documents forwarded by the Rev. J. Watson and record that the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity has been conferred upon him by the senate of the Victoria University of Toronto, Canada; and in formally recognising the diploma we heartily congratulate Dr. Watson upon the valuable distinction which he has thus worthily and honourably received."
