In The Name of God Amen; The 15 Day of november In the yeare of our Lord God 1711 I John Watson of Stanhope In the County of Durham yeoman Being very sick And weak in Body But of parfect mind And memory Thanks be Given unto God: therefore Calling unto mind the mortality of my Body: And knowing that Itt Is Appointed for All men once To Dye, I Do make And ordaine this my Last will And Testament, That Is to say principally And first of All I Give And Recommend my soul Into the Hands of God that Gave Itt; And for my Body I recommend Itt to the Earth, to Be Buried In A Christian Like And Decent maner, Att the Descrestion of my Executors; And As Touching such worldly Estate wherewith Itt Hath pleased God to Bless me with In this Life I Give Devise And Dispose of the same In the fowlowing manner And form
Imprimis I Give And Bequeath to my son Thomas the shop loft And All the Houses Att the west End of Itt; And one Halfe of the Shop If He And my son John Can agree to work togethers to Enter of And Be possesd of After the Death of my wife Elizabeth; But If Itt so Happen that they Cannot Agree to work together then the sade Shop to Go wholy to my Son John
Item I Give And Bequeath to my son Thomas the sum of Thirty pounds of Good And Lawfull moneys to Be payd to Him by my son John out of my Estate within the Tirme of three years After the Death of my wife Elizabeth
Item I Give And Bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth the sum of Thirty pounds of Good And Lawfull moneys to Be pade to Hir by my son John within the Tirme of three yeares After the Death of my wife Elizabeth
Item I Give And Bequeath unto my Daughter Jane the sum of Thirty pounds of Go[o]d And Lawfull moneys to Be pade to Hir By my son John within the Thirme of three yeares After the Death of my wife Elizabeth
Item I Give And Bequeath to my Son John my Dwelling House with Barns And Byers And All other Houses one the Backside With A Garden Likewise the firth With the Littall House Att the Head of Itt to Enter of And be possesd of; paying of the Severall And Sertaine sums of moneys Givien by me to the my other Childern And to Be pade by Him out of the sade Houses And Land within the Tirme of three years After the Death of my wife Elizabeth
Item I Give And Bequeath to Elizabeth my Dearly beloved wife whome I Likewise Constitute, make And ordaine my only And Sole Executor of this my Last will And Testament All my Goods And Chattells movable And unmovable As well the Detts In the shop book Due to me As Any other Goods with All the Houshould Stuf - that After my Dets And funerall Expenses be DisCharged to be Disposed If Any Do Remane of Att the DisCrestion of Elizabeth my wife
Lastly I Do Hereby utterly Disallow Revoke And Disannull All And Every other former Testaments wills And Legacies Requests And Executors by me In Any wayes before this time named willed And Bequeathed, Rectifieing And Confirmeing this And no other to be my Last will And Testament; In Witness where unto I Have sett my Hand And seall the Day And yeare Above written
