THE MARRIAGE OF THE REV. T. J. WATSON, OF BRISTOL.

The town of Stanhope was enlivened on Wednesday, July 4th, by the marriage of the Rev. T. J. Watson, of Bristol, formerly of Weardale, to Miss M. A. Walton, of Wearhead. A splendid repast was given in the form of a breakfast, by Mr. J. Featherstone, of Wearhead, which was attended by numerous friends. The marriage ceremony was performed by the Revs. E. Phillipson and J. Featherstone, brother-in-law and uncle to the bride. The bride and bridesmaids were attired in fawn brocaded satin, and the bride wore a wreath and veil. After the ceremony the friends returned to Irestone, where they and the tenants of Mrs. Watson, the bridegroom's mother, were entertained to a sumptuous dinner, provided by that lady. In the afternoon the happy pair left for Edinburgh, followed by the best wishes of numerous friends. The presents were both numerous and costly.
